Google Assistive Writing
On March 31, 2022, Google announced the addition of "several new assistive writing features" in Google Docs, including "inclusive language" suggestions and "word warnings."
Criticism
Motherboard (Tech by Vice) published a critique on April 19, 2022, which claimed Google suggested writers change "landlord" to "property owner" and "mankind" to "humankind."
Another April critique, this time by the New York Post, noted that Google discouraged users from typing "policeman,” “fireman,” and “housewife.”
