Immigration & Human Trafficking Statistics
Human trafficking is a $150 billion industry.
As cited by Senator Marsha Blackburn:
The State Department believes that anywhere between 14,500 and 17,500 people are victims of human trafficking within the U.S. every year, 72% of whom are immigrants.
A separate report estimates 76% of labor trafficking victims in the agriculture sector are immigrants.
In 2022, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) made 3,655 human trafficking arrests (an increase of more than 50% over FY 2021).
Since Biden took office, there's been over 1.7 million "got-aways" (or people were never even stopped at the border).
There are 328 ports of entry (places where individuals may legally enter the country) throughout the United States.
Drug Seizures at the Border
Fentanyl seizures are 480% higher at the southern border in fiscal year (FY) 2023 compared to FY 2020.
Illegal Immigrant Facts & Statistics
During the 2019 Democratic Debate, Joe Biden said:
I would in fact make sure that there is - that we immediately surge to the border all those people who are seeking asylum.
456,378 unaccompanied children have crossed the U.S. border since Biden became president.
Not Enough Resources
Describing the crisis facing New York City amid an influx of immigrants, Mayor Eric Adams (D) stated on December 29, 2023:
...potentially 16,000 a month that we must clothe, house, feed, educate children, and all the services you would give a normal adult and we're seeing that play out on our streets of New York. And that is what the breaking point looks like...
At an earlier event in September 2023, New York Mayor Eric Adams said:
This issue will destroy New York City, destroy New York City. We're getting 10,000 migrants a month.
With traditional infrastructure overwhelmed, many immigrants end up sleeping outdoors - as one article notes: "with little protection from the elements - there are no bathrooms, leaving men, women and children to relieve themselves in nearby bushes."
Safety Concerns
In January 2024, ten retired FBI officials warned Congress of a “comparative army” of single adult men who have entered the U.S. from hostile nations.
In 2023, 169 people on the terrorist watchlist were stopped at the southern border - that's more than the previous six years combined.
